Does changing the tempo change the pitch?
No. That's the point of this tool: the speed changes but the song stays in its original key.
How do I change the tempo of a song?
Drop your song in the box and move the Speed slider (0.5× to 1.5×), or click a preset. Press Play to listen, then click Export MP3.
Can I set an exact BPM?
Type the song's current BPM in the box and it shows the new BPM as you move the slider. Don't know it? Use our BPM Finder first.
How is this different from the Slowed and Nightcore tools?
Slowed and Nightcore change speed like a record, so the pitch moves too. The Tempo Changer keeps the pitch the same.
Will it sound natural?
Small changes (0.8× to 1.2×) sound very natural. Big changes can add a slight warble, especially on vocals.
Can I use it to practice an instrument?
Yes. Slow a song to 0.7× or 0.8× to learn tricky parts at the same key, then speed it back up.
Does it work on my phone?
Yes. It works on iPhone and Android. Longer songs take a few seconds to process.
What file types can I use?
Any audio your browser can play: MP3, WAV, M4A, FLAC, OGG and more. Save the result as MP3 or WAV.
No sound on my iPhone?
Turn off silent mode (the switch or Action button on the side), turn up the volume, and press Play again. Older iPhones mute web audio in silent mode.
