How do I make a song lo-fi?
Drop your song in the box, press Play and pick Classic Lo-fi. Adjust Tone, Vinyl crackle, Tape wobble and Bit crush while it plays, then click Export MP3.
What makes music sound lo-fi?
Lo-fi is warm and a little worn out: the high end is softened, there is vinyl crackle or tape hiss, the pitch wavers slightly, and it often plays a touch slower.
What does Tape wobble do?
It makes the pitch waver gently, like an old cassette or a warped record. A little goes a long way.
What does Bit crush do?
It adds a gritty, digital roughness, like an old sampler. Keep it low for a subtle texture.
Can I make lo-fi hip hop beats with this?
Yes. Drop in your beat or a sample and use Classic Lo-fi, or slow it a bit with the Speed slider.
Does it work on my phone?
Yes. It works on iPhone and Android in your normal browser.
Can I download the lo-fi version?

Lo-fi effect settings that sound good
For classic lo-fi hip hop, darken the Tone to around 3 to 5 kHz, add a little crackle and wobble, and slow the speed to about 0.95×. For a dreamier feel, add more Room.
